About “HopeFinders INC” and the “Cody Young Foundation”

Founded in the memory of Lou’s late brother Cody Young—who was a victim of gun violence—“HopeFinders INC” and the “Cody Young Foundation” are 501c3 foundations dedicated to keeping at-risk youth, ages 6-17 years old, out of the streets. With the birth of his daughter Alani and the passing of his brother Cody, Lou knew that he wanted to make a difference in his hometown—not just for his family, but for all children in the DMV area.

In the past Lou has partnered with the Special Olympics, NFL play60, DC Housing Authority and many more to create year round educational and extracurricular camps to keep kids active and out of trouble. At these camps, children are able to conduct science experiments, attend seminars and join sports clinics ranging from football to yoga. In addition to these camps, children are also taught life skills such as setting and achieving goals as well as maintaining a healthy diet.

It is our goal to show kids that there is more to life than the inner city and street life. And it is our mission to save our children and guide them on their individual paths to success. In the future, “HopeFinders INC” and the “Cody Young Foundation” will look to expand their programs to other cities and neighborhoods across the United States, with Atlanta, GA being our next city to establish headquarters.
